 Day 18 (doodle #3)
 Day 18 (doodle # 4)

Day 19 (brainstorming setup doodle)

Day 20 (set on an idea)

Current feeling about sketch: After a few days of futzing around with ghost doodling, my mind has finally managed to settle on a theme.  I was having a hard time getting in touch with the spirit of this piece, but with the bulk skeleton work setup, I'm excited to bring this piece to life with color.  I still have to figure out how to posture Jack...actually I still haven't met Jack yet, I've played around with ideas, and am closer to an image, but haven't quite made it there yet.

Lüch Füritt

Day 16

Inspiration:  My left hand just had at it, and Mr. Toad presented himself to me; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: I feel like a completely different artist with my left hand, I had no idea how much personality that side had until I injured my right hand...yes my left side isn't as controlled as my right, but I find this rebelliousness quite refreshing.

Left Handed Elephant

Day 14

Inspiration:  Attempt to use my left hand at drawing, I wanted to switch to my right hand again so badly, but I resisted; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: From a distance it kind of looks like a gorilla walking on its hands, hopefully my left hand improves, that would be pretty useful, in the meantime, I realized my left hand is not used to doing any sort of physical labor, my palm abs are gonna be sore tomorrow.

Drawing Pains

Day 12

Inspiration:  Two days ago I started getting a sharp glass-like feeling in my right hand, so I've been taking it easier on these drawings, which is very difficult for me. Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: Pretty much explains my hand pain, as a result my work has faltered, maybe this is good for helping me not be so OCD about my work all the time...patience is a virtue...and a pain.

Day 11 (Stage 1)

Inspiration: "The minute a glass of cheap Chardonnay hits her collagen-injected lips, she is minutes away from being on her back." -Chelsea Handler, My Horizontal Life; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: I had huge lips and a glass drawn out, but I'm in the process in reworking both.

Day 7 (late evening)

Day 7 (late afternoon)

Inspiration: I was about to take a nap, when image of a woman trapped in a bubble/lightbulb popped into my head, so I hopped out of bed and started drawing.; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: I'm not finished yet, but I really want to nap, I feel I've captured enough from my brain to go pass out for a bit, definitely going to work on this again later.

Draining

Day 6 (evening)

Day 6 (afternoon)
Current feeling about sketch: Getting there, still not quite finished, hopefully tonight.

Day 5 (evening)

Current feeling about sketch:  You would think with all that water, the muddiness would go away.

Day 5 (early morning)
Inspiration: I watched a YouTube video a woman had posted about a plastic surgery accident, that causes her daily pain.  It was really very difficult to watch such raw emotion, I couldn't help but think about the theater, and what a superb performance that would have been had it not been a reality.  (This is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PT9k1rvH3k&feature=related)  I decided I wanted to capture that pain through art, and very quickly personal emotions and experiences began to take the piece somewhere I hadn't intended; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: Life can be so draining sometimes, and where does it even all go?  Also, I plan on meddling with this piece a bit more.

Triplets and Doodles

Day 4

Inspiration: an old doodle from last term; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current Feeling about sketch: I can't decide which eye color is my favorite, they each have their own unique appeal.  Also I've decided I like this picture better up close than far away.

Doodle I found in my notebook from last term

Another doodle I found, I sketched this around the time everyone was all hyped up about the royal wedding, grim I know, I didn't plan for it to be.

Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Stage 5
Final Stage
Replica Drawing
Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about recreation: Not perfect, mine looks more like a Black Forest Rat than a wolf, and the pine needles look like hay, overall I feel satisfied.

Original - Boozle
Source: http://thurop.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=0#/d34fpzk

Replica - Boozle

Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about recreation: I feel I spent a lot of time creating something I can't take credit for, I have no personal attachment to my efforts on this one.

Original - Flapjack
 Source: http://thurop.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d1jk1d6

Replica - Flapjack
Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about recreation: This has been the simplest recreation I've done, yet it is also the the most inaccurate, the eyes need to slant more, mouth needs to be higher, etc.  I may fix it later, but I think it's kinda cute like this.

Original - Stormalong Harbor
Source: http://thurop.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d1hxznh

Replica - Stormalong Harbor
Day 8
Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about recreation: I'm satisfied with the object placement, but could've done better on detailing and color.  My eyes keep fuzzing up today.

 Original - Star Gazers...
Source: http://thurop.deviantart.com/#/d4jamet

Replica - Star Gazers...
Stage 1
Stage 2
Final Stage
Day 9
Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about recreation: The hair needs more shading, and the background could use some work, but overall I feel pretty satisfied.

Original Piece - Light Bug
Day 10 (revised)
Inspiration: Thurop Van Orman; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about piece: I want to be that little light bug.

Life and Death

(Early Stage-Scribbles)

Day 3

Inspiration: Midnight City by M83, my hand just etched around to the music, I didn't really think about what I was doing, everything started out as millions of scribbles, and then I watched a face begin to form. Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: Humorous in a dark kind of way, I call this one "Resisting Temptation"

Day 3

Inspiration: My pregnant sister, and a painting done by my great grandma; Medium: Photoshop using a tablet; Current feeling about sketch: I didn't plan on drawing life and death, I just let my hand go, I also experienced deja vu on my last signature attempt...I wish I could keep drawing forever.
